[Estimation of additive genetic variance and heritability in husk tomato (Physalis ixocarpa Brot.)]

Additive genetic variance and heritability for number and weight of fruit in the husk tomato "Rendidora" variety and SBI200-93 material were estimated in this study using the maternal half Sib family Desing. The main conclusions are: 1.-The estimated heritability for number of fruits was highest than that for weight fruits in "Rendidora" variety, 2.-The estimates of the additive genetic variance and heritability from "Rendidora" were larger than those from SBI200-93, this could be explained in terms of the successful selection made in "Rendidora" to development SBI200-93
