Evaluating genotypes over several environments for stability performance is expensive in many cases. This paper discusses the possibility of using two extreme environments was highly correlated with stability parameters of Finlay and Wilkinson's regression coefficient and variance across environments in ranking order for sweetpotato root yield and leaf-vine weight. It is feasible that genotypic stability may be measured by environmental sensitivity as demonstrated in this study. Further investigation is needed for extrapolation of the results using different populations
