Yield trials at six different lowland rice varieties were evaluated during the dry cropping season of 1993. These varieties were: IR-62, PSBRc-2, PSBRc-10, IR-74, IR-66 and PSBRc-2 which represent treatments 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 respectively. The study aims among others, to determine the potential yield of these varieties under location specific conditions. The treatments were replicated three times in RCBD. The result showed significant difference in the number of productive tillers, weight of 1,000 grains and percent marketable grains per panicle. However, no significant differences were observed in the number of grains per panicle and yield
