After - effect of simulated acid rains and dolomite on the yield of ordinary cockfoot and on the content of available phosphorus, potassium and magnesium in the soil

In the many-year field experiment the after-effect of simulated acid rainfalls on the yield of ordinary cockfoot and on the formation of available phosphorus, potassium and magnesium in the soil was determined. The after-effect of rainfall especially with pH=3.2 was observed as a considerable decrease of available phosphorus and magnesium in the soil. There was caused a decrease of total crop of ordinary cockfoot by 13.5 percent compared to the control soil obiects. Liming with dolomite effectively eliminated the negative influence of the after-effect of acid rainfall on the content of available P, K and Mg in the soil and on the plant crops
