Agrochemical properties of boron leached from coal fly ashes
1997
Hermann, J.
In the result of the use of leaching, selective ion exchange and crystallization, a boron preparation containing, among other companents (percent): B - 1,1-1,8; Ca - 13,2-14,4; K - 3,6-4,2; Na - 4,0-4,7 and 1,3-1,5 percent Mg, was obtained from fly ashes. It was a mixture of salts soluble in water, mainly sulphates, chlorides, carbonates and borates of calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium. The yield of leaching depended first of all on the temperature of leaching water, pH, the boron content in fly ash, a fraction of most fine grains, the way of leaching and its time. Gypsum, magnesite, nesquechonite, potash alum, calcite, metaborite, sassoline were identified among the minerals occurring in the preparation
