Aspects regarding the agricultural and climatic resources at the agricultural research station Livada in the period 1962-1994 [Romania]

The paper presents a characterization of the climatic resources at the Agricultural Research Station Livada of the period 1962-1994. An analysis of the heat and humidity resources and of their fluctuation, as well as of the facilities of these years for winter wheat and maize has been made. The annual average temperature of the air was 9.2 degree C, the warmest month of the year, being July which recorded 19.9 degree C and the coldest one, January -3.0 degree C. The total sum of annual rainfalls was 720 mm. There is an inconsiderable variation in the annual average temperature and overall and real temperatures. A more important variation of the annual rainfalls and a very important fluctuation of the rainfalls in the cold period and in vegetative period and of cold units have been observed. During 33 years (1962-1994) for wheat and maize, the conditions have been favourable and very favourable only in proportion of 33 percent.
