Some soils formed on marl-calcareous deposits, resulting by chemical precipitation of CaCO3, were pointed out by pedological researches in the Blahnita plain. According to the succession of horizons: Am - Ar - Rrz and the other physico-chemical properties the soils belong to the chernozem type, rendzinic or rendzinic-lithic subtype. frequently, these soils can be affected by alkalinization and/or salinization processes.
