Studies on the daily accumulation active principles dynamics and in various vegetative organs of Pelargonium roseum Willd. (pelargonium)
1996
Nita, V. (Statiunea de Cercetari pentru Plante Medicinale si Aromatice, Fundulea (Romania))
During 1990-1992 daily variations in different plant organs were studied, and also the volatile oil content in Pelargonium roseum Willd. species (pelargonium). The highest content was found at 13:30 o'clock, when the plants were in pre-blossom phase. Among plant organs, the leaves contain the higher amount of volatile oil (0.38-0.44 per cent). The pedicel and the stems have but scarce values, contributing to the qualitative depreciation of vegetable material harvested.
