The influence of intraperitoneal administration of Cd in five doses of 0.90 mgCdE2+ kgE-1 live weight at 7 day intervals on macroscopic and microscopic structure of testicle and epididymidis in male brown hares was studied. Changes in concentration of some biochemical parameters of blood plasma and Cd and Pb content in testicles, liver and kidneys were also determined. All changes were assessed 5 weeks after the end of Cd administration. Histological analysis of testicles and epididymidis of experimental hares showed that Cd did not visibly damage the gonads. Potassium level was increased significantly and AST level decreased in the hematological parameters. The highest amount of Cd was accumulated in the liver and the lowest in the testicles. A significant increase of Cd was recorded for liver, kidneys and testicles. Pb levels were not changed significantly; the highest values were determined in livers of experimental animals and kidneys of control animals
