1992
Namaoy Phaopadetkarn
Combination of ethephon and monopotassiumphosphate (MPP) was applied to seven-year old 'Nam Dok Mai' mango tree. The MPP at 5,000 ppm were sprayed twice at one week interval on December 7 and 14, 1990. Ethephon with 0, 500, 750 and 1,000 ppm was sprayed one week after. MPP could retard vegetative growth while ethephon enhanced the panicle emergence. Highest flowering shoots was found in the trees sprayed with MPP plus 1,000 ppm ethephon. Only flush, without a single flowering, was obtained from the control treatment.
