The new, recognized cultivar K-33 is characterized by large leaves, long leaf stem and by thick laying stolones. It has a large head with white flowers and small, yellow seeds. It is resistant to diseases and low temperatures and poorly resistant to drought. In cultivar testing, an average yield of green mass of the cultivar K-33 was significantly higher with regard to a standard cultivar. An average yield of dry mass of the cultivar K-33 was significantly higher than the standard cultivar. The cultivar K-33 is characterized by higher height, faster regeneration and earlier maturity than the standard cultivar. The content of crude proteins in K-33 cultivar is by 0.48-1.28 % lower than in the standard cultivar, but the yield of protein due to larger biomass is by 86 kg/ha larger.
