In this study the possibilities for improvement of the yield and quality of beef meat together with the economic effects in the domestic Yugoslav Spotted breed population with lower productive traits by means of industry crossing with French beef breed cattle (Charollais and Limousin), have been investigated. The investigation included three male beef genotype groups: domestic Yugoslav Spotted breed (Ds), crosses of F1 generation domestic Yugoslav Spotted breed and Charollais (Ds x Char), and crosses of domestic Yugoslav Spotted breed and Limousin (Ds x Lim).
