Evaluation of the effect of the floor heating on the air temperature in a pig weaners premise

The paper deals with a theoretical investigation of the impact of introduced floor heating to a room for rearing pig weaners under the so called bottom critical temperature of the room air. A possibility arises to lower this temperature extreme, with all other conditions unchanged, by 4.3 to 6.3 C degrees. A mathematical model was derived, permitting to be defined the bottom critical temperature and graphic relationships are presented, that visualize the effect of the single varying factors. The possibility by change in the temperature on the surface of the stock-breeding room to compensate for the increase in the bottom critical temperature, due to worsened feeding of the animals, is illustrated.
