Results showed that reduction of the bed number with 25% and 50% compared to number of calves did not influence forage consumption and weight.During the summer and autumn seasons there is no difference in the calf behaviour.During the winter season occupation rate of rest beds in third group increased, but for neither part of 24-hour-period calves have occupied simultaneously more that 50% from the empty rest beds.
