The effect of the resistance activator "bion" on the relationship Fusarium oxisporum f. sp. radicis-lycopersici-tomato

BION plant activator developed by CIBA GEIGY was used on tomato plants infected by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-lycopersici. Tomato plants treated with "BION" were less infected by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-lycopersici. The results show the importance of the systemic acquired resistance in the plant protection and the necessity of the examination of "BION" not only in granted so far but in horticultural practice as well
