During the tests it was evaluated how mineral premixes containing selenium influence the productivity, as wel as the quality of eggs and meat of cross Lohmann Brown layers at the local basic background of feed. The obtained results were compared with the mineralpremix of the same composition not containing selenium. It was observed that the use of selenium-containing mineralpremixe in feeding of layers in comparison with control: increases the laying intensity by 4.0 and decreases the consumption of feed for production of 10 eggs by 4.1 as well as increases the quality of eggs and meat.
