Twenty lines of garden pea were evaluated for green-shelled pea production at the Benguet State University Experimental field in La Trinidad, Benguet, Philippines from Nov 1997 to Feb 1998. CGP 38 had significantly highest number of seeds per pod (6.30) among the lines evaluated. It was followed by CGP 39, CGP 14 and CGP 92 with more than 6 seeds per pod. Significant differences in number and weight of pods per plot (3 sq m) were noted among the lines tested. CGP 152 and CGP 39 had significantly highest number of pods per plot while CGP 39 produced significantly heaviest pod per plot (2.13 kg/plot). CGP 47 resgistered the lowest weight of pod per plot (1.2 kg). All the lines evaluated has statistically similar green-shelled pea yield per plot and per hectare. It ranged from 2.46 (CGP 96) - 3.66 (CGP 39) tons per hectare. Numerically, CGP 39 and CGP 152 were the top yielders which produced more than 3.6 tons per hectare. Economic analysis of growing garden pea for green-shelled pea production and fresh pod production is presented
