Influence of the Odra River flooding on the floristic composition of meadows located within the German-Polish National Park

The study was carried out on meadows located on both shores of the lower Odra River (vicinity of Schwedt, Marwice, Krajnik/Gryfino). The floristic composition was assesed by the Braun-Blanquet method. The plant communities present on those meadows were shaped by the Odra River. They represent mostly rush communities, such as (Caricetum gracilis with Calamagrostis neglecta, Phalaridentum arundinaceae and Alopecuretum pratense), and on drained land - poor communities of the Fetusca rubra and Deschampsia caespitosa type
