Hudak, J.
When evaluating the last three years of the Slovak agricultural transformation it can be stated that despite many great problems there are some positive tendencies. The sum of changes which are included in process of agricultural transformation is based on private relations in agriculture and their influence on the changing of the forms of entrepreneurial enterprises. Nowadays, new forms of the trade companies (branches, joint stock company, Ltd.) are more successful. From the total amount of the state enterprises, only 7.94 percent were profitable and 92.06 percent ran at a loss in the first half of 1994. 9.48 percent of the forms of agricultural cooperatives were profitable, and 90.52 percent of the total showed a loss. 52.27 percent of the trade companies achieved a profit and 47.73 percent were run at a loss during the same period. The enterprises which are a combination of capital and private property following the commercial law are the most common at this time
