anglais. Results of 20-year long research on the effect of a quality crown level on the quality structure of volume production and measurable variables of target trees of an oak stand with admixture of beech and hornbeam (to 20%) are summarized. A series of 3 permanent research plots were assessed. On the permanent research plot, 1,150 target trees per hectare were determined and marked. In the thinning with an interval of 5 years the 2nd degree of target trees assistance was used. Permanent research plot 2 was control 1 with 150 target trees per hectare. On permanent research plot 3 there were determined 100 target trees per hectare with a thinning interval of 10 years and the 3rd degree of assistance in favour of target trees
