The productive effect of replacing part of soybean meal by rape cake was proved on fattening broiler chickens of Hybro type. Rape cake (containing 16 % fat) at 15 % and 30 % replaced soybean meal in mixture HYD-03 and at 25 %, 50 % and 100 % in mixtures HYD-02 and HYD-03. In the four experimental groups of fattening broilers feed intake per head per day, per head per week and per kilogram of grain was observed. Growth was evaluated in the third, sixth and seventh weeks of age. At the end, carcass value and technological quality of meat were compared. A negative influence was found on feed consumption, live weight, weight of trunk, breast and thighs. The compensation in chemical content of breast and thighs has no significant influence
