Various colored flowers, fruits and leaves were extracted for their pigments and tested for the change of color at pH range from 1 to 14, in order to use these pigments for estimation of pH value and for using as indicators for a laboratory. Many kinds of plant could be used very well for estimation of pH value. For the mixture of various extracted pigments, to form universal indicator, there was no change in color between pH 4-10 by the most mixed pigments. For the inhibitory activity of extracted color on bacteria, extracted pigments from many kinds of flowers could inhibit the growth of Klebsiella sp., Aerobacter sp. and Streptococcus sp.
