The possibility of improving the nutritive value of corn contaminated by Trichothecenes, 0.42 mg/kg diacetoxyscirpenol and 0.30 mg/kg T-2 toxin, its partial substitution with uncontaminated barley in the nutrition of weaned pigs was investigated. The weaned pigs fed contaminated corn had lower daily gain by 9.70 and consumed by 9.05 more feed per kg of gain compared to pigs fed uncontaminated corn. Introducing uncontaminated barley instead of a part of contaminated corn into diet considerably improvement pig performances, gain by 12.30 and feed conversion ratio by 8.73, in comparison to animals fed diet with contaminated corn. The analysis of weaned pigs serum showed that the use of contaminated corn reduced concentrations of albumins, alfa nad beta globulins and urea, while the conc. of gama globulins increased compared with uncontaminated corn and combination of contaminated corn and uncontaminated barley.
