Yugoslavian veterinary service for suppresion of helminths in domestic animals posesses 26 pharmaceuticals, which are registered and patented. All preparations were produced from benzimidazole derivatives. In our investigation we utilized a liquid chromatography, with an innovative selection of the mobile phase, flow and software. Very good separation results were obtained in the same program for three different anthelmintics based on benzimidazole, e.g. albendazole, mebendazole and fenbendazole. Quantitative detection of levels reaching 1 microg/ml i.e. 100 ng/injected sample enables identification of antihelmintics in physiological liquids, organs or secretions of treated animals, which contributes to the improvement of the cited drugs and their application in the field of veterinary medicine.
