The influence of progesterone on the anterior part of the nucleus medialis of the amygdaloid complex was studied using light microscopy and stereological analysis. The results reported that this sex steroid given to female rats in early postnatal period of life (5th day) causes significant effect changing some of morphological characteristics in the anterior part of the nucleus medialis of the amygdaloid complex.
