Choice of mowers cutting mechanism type

On the basis of investigation results for different types of mowers cutting mechanisms, there are defined factors of the model for theirs right choice. The investigation is performed on: clasical and disc cutting mechanisms with alfalfa mowing i.e. classical cutting mechanism - middle type K, classical cutting mechanism with two mowing knifes and simetrical top - down segment disposition K-2P, classical cutting mechanism with two mowing knifes and asimetrical top - down segments disposition K-2Pb and rotational (disc) mowing mechanisms with 4, 5 and 6 discs. There are analised parameters as representatives for cutting mechanism choice in concrete conditions, i.e. total losses in percents of hay yield as index of cutting mechanisms working quality, specific power for mowers drive kW/m as energetic index and field efficiency ha/h as exploitational index. Afterwards, there is created the model of cutting mechanisms choice.
