The effect of some herbicides and combinations and systems of herbicides upon the biological yield and sugar beet quality on leached smolniza under watering conditions

We have watched closely their influence upon the content of dry matter, sucros, potassium and sodium in sugar beet root crop, the purity of sugar juice and the biological yield of sugar per decare. It was determined that the separate usage of the Piradur herbicide in a portion of 0,700 - 0,900kg per decare, the root crop yield is the highest (847 - 851 kg per decar) followed by the combinations of other herbicides together with Betanal (applied twince) + Lantrel (755 - 828 kg per decare). We obtained a root crop yield of 5290 kg per decare and a biological sugar yield - 804 kg per decare, as well as sucrose content 153 per cent under the following conditions: twice manual hoeing and thorough ploughing of sugar beet with an integrated pest control - soil treatment and an applicatipon of herbicides.
