The effect of the soils on the gene expression and the degree of compensation of 3D by 3A and 3B chromosomes in Triticum aestivum was studied with regard to the uptake of N, P, K, Na, Ca, Mg, Zn, Fe and Mn by plants and their organs (grain, straw and roots). The results show that in the chromosomes of the third homeologous group are localized effective, not fully identical genes related to the assimilation of the main nutrient elements by the plants and their organs. The soils used exhibit a modifying effect on the character, the strength and the degree of compensation of 3D by 3A and 3B chromosomes of T. aestivum.
