The paper presents some data concerning the effectiveness of the biological products, Applaud 25 WP, Dimilin 48 TM , Nomolt 15 SC, Nissorun 10 WP, Flumite 20 SC and Pyranica 20 WP, categorized as insect growth regulators (IGR), as well as the products Novodor 48 TM, Biobit XL and Dipel 2X, whose action is based on Bacillus thuringiensis var. tenebrionis and B. thuringiensis var. kurstaki bacteria. Except Pyranica 20 WP, whose acaricidal action is effective against all the development stages, all the other products tested had a more limited action, affecting only certain species of pests or development stages and, therefore, they can be used only in different formulas of integrated control. The product Applaud 25 WP has a good ovicidal and larvicidal effect in the white fly (Trialeurodes vaporariorum Westw.) control. The products Dimillin 48 TM, Nomolt 15 SC, Dipel 2X and Biobit XL, significantly reduced the population of Mamestra and Pieris larvae, while the product Novodor 48 TM can be used with good results against the Colorado beetle (Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say.) larvae. Also, the products Nissorun 10 WP , Flumite 20 SC and Pyranica 20 WP assured successful control of common red spider (Tetranychus urticae Koch.). All the products acting as IGR assure a phytosanitary protection of 30-45 days for one treatment.
