Pathomorphological investigation on experimental poisoning with Ochratoxin and penicillin acid in birds

The present study examined the effect of Ochratoxin A (OAT) in combine with penicillic acid on the pathomorphological changes in 85 broiler-chicks fed on mouldy diet containing: 130, 305 and 790 ppd Ohratoxin A and 1000-2000ppb penicillic acid.It was estabilished that OTA provoked cloudy swelling and pronounced granular degeneration in the epitelium of liver and kidney, mononuclear cells proliferation and activation of capillary endothelium in the interstitium of these organs as well degenerative alterations and depletion of lymphoid cells in limphoid organs: bursa of Fabricius, thymus and spleen.A protective effect is estabilished of Artichoke and slightly of Robel FAE aganst the toxic effect of OAT.
