The berries of arctic bramble and its hybrid are in great demand as raw material for the food and wine industries. In this experiments the chemical composition and the quality of arctic bramble and arctic bramble hybrid cultivar and clone fruits have been studied. The following cultivars and clones 'Pima', 'Mespi', 004, 033, 077, 039, 'Astra', 'Aura' were tested. The Estonian natural arctic bramble under the name Kaansoo was also there. Sugar, total organic acids and ascorbic acid were analysed in the winter 1996. The fruit quality characteristics were determined in the summer 1997. Results: sugar content was higher in arctic bramble cultivar 'Mespi' and clones 077 and 039; organic acids content was the higher in arctic bramble hybrid cultivars 'Astra', 'Aura' and arctic bramble clones 077, 039 and Kaansoo; ascorbic acid content was higher in arctic bramble clone 077; bigger and harder fruits gave arctic bramble hybrids cultivars 'Astra' and 'Aura'
