The topical issues on epidemiological surveillance of zoonoses

Department of Epidemiology of the National Environmental Health Centre in accordance to the "Law on Epidemiologic Safety", Regulation of the National Environmental Health Centre and other legislation and resolutions is performing the epidemiological surveillance in the country. At present there is performed the modernization of system of epidemiological surveilance, by wider use of computer engineering, specific computer programmes on analysis of incidence and other data, evaluation of the efficiency of antiepidemic and other medical measures, as well as for the projection of further situation. Annually there are registered human incidence cases with following zoonoses: salmonellosis, yersinosis, leptospirosis, tick-borne encephalitis, Lyme disease, trichinellosis and other biohelminthoses.
