In the given research the possibility of using photometric methods to determine the calcium and iron content in meat has been studied. In the experiments pork and beef loins as well as poultry minced meat were used. Calcium and iron content was determined by means of the microprocessophotometer MPM 3000 produced by the German firm WTW. The methods of the experiments are described. The resulting data are presented in a table. The experiments have proven that the photometric method applied in the tests can be successfully used for the above purpose.
