Does milling capacity depend on tandem length

Shakarganj had six Mill tandem till 1990-91. During 1991-92 season operations were conducted with five mills in tandem with pressure feeder at last mill. To maintain good results with less number of mills, compensation in other variables were made. The provision of pressure feeder at last Mill accompanied by the Rackbar (Inter Carriers) enabled to go even beyond previous crushing capacity. The cost and benefits of this new arrangement are discussed in this paper.
