1997
Velizarova, E. | Tozlova, M. (Institute of Forest research, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia (Bulgaria))
Ten sites with different soil and vegetation types located at different distances from a brass mill were considered. The maximum concentration of Cu, Zn and Pb was determined at a distance of 750 m from source of pollution. In the acidic soils with a higher content of carbon were detected higher concentrations of Cu, Zn and Pb. In case of pronounced carbonate-geochemical system, the total content of heavy metals in soils decreased.
