The research were carried out on a mollic alluvial soil, with medium clayey-sandy texture, with slightly alkaline neutral reaction. Various treatments were organized, with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization for wheat and barley yields. The Flamura 85 variety was used for wheat and the Productiv variety was used for barley. Very significant yield increases were obtained for seed wheat during 1985-1989, with rates of 50 and 100 kg nitrogen a.s./ha on a phosphorus 40,80 and 120 kg/ha background, which are the most efficient from economical point of view. The yield differences as compared to the control samples reached 16.6 - 18.5 q/ha. Very significant yield increases were obtained for barley during 1987-1989, as a result of nitrogen fertilizers, at various levels of fertilization with phosphorus, on a P40 and P80 background, with 50,100 and 150 kg N a.s./ha, which reached 6.28 q/ha.
