In 1993 and 1997 the nutrition effect on sugar beet yield and quality were studied in field experiment. From mentioned are resulting statistically significant year differences in sugar beet yield and quality. Between sugar beet yields and avalaible phosphorus, potassium and soil inorganic nitrogen positive linear correlation was observed. In 1997 nutrition conditions (in case of extreme precipitation in May and July) was obtained higher sugar beet yield than in 1993, however in 1997 was registered lower saccharose content, therefore there are small yield differences at polarization and refined sugar yields. Besides N, P, K nutrients applied, yields were significantly increased due to farmyard manure application (treatments A, C). Soil phosphorus and potassium increase reduced saccharose level in sugar beet. The lowest saccharose content at higher potassium and alpha-aminonitrogen in sugar beet in both experimental years was observed in the treatment with conventional fertilization (A)
