[Growth stimulants and their effect on sugar beet production profitability]

The influence of growth stimulants on the efficiency of sugar beet cultivation was followed in 1996-1998. The sugar beet was grown on heavy soils of East Slovakian Lowland. The growth stimulants were applied by incrustation of sugar beet seeds and by foliar application. The incrustation of seeds with Elorisan influenced the sugar beet yield increase and reduced sugar content. The combination of incrustation and foliar application of Elorisan during vegetation period caused the increase of sugar beet yield and sugar content. The growth stimulants increased the efficiency of sugar beet production on heavy soils in East Slovakia Lowlands
