Validation of a model for estimation of the available soil water storage

The model for determination of the available soil water storage is described using the data of standard observations of meteorological, actinometric and agrometeorological stations. Model calculations for spring wheat and corn fields of the forest-steppe zones were performed. Calculated values of the available soil water storage in 1 m soil layer and corresponding values measured at agrometeorological stations has been compared. The measured values of the available soil water storage also contain errors in soil hydrophysical constants determination. Consequently, the value of the mean square deviation of the calculated available soil water storage from the measured involves mean square error of measurement and mean square error of calculations. The mean square errors of the calculation and measurements are independent, the value of the mean square errors of the calculations has been assessed
