The publication offers an important breeding and economic information to aid especially pig farmers. The information are concentrated to the seven chapters: basic aims in the pig breeding, reproductive efficiency, slaughter quality, carcass value and yield as well as effects of stress situations to meat quality, genetic programs and animal welfare. Subject of the publication responds on needs of both recent and forming domestic and foreign markets. Hence it is regarding for handlers, sellers and consumers, too
