Content of mineral components in rapeseed cake and rapeseed and soybean meal

Content of mineral components was estimated in five samples of OO rapeseed cake and compared with OO rapeseed and soybean meal. The average content of mineral components in rapeseed cake was: crude ash - 66 g, calcium 7.2 g, total phosphorus 18.8 g, phytin phosphorus 7.9, magnesium 3.4 g, potassium 11.8 g, sodium 0.05 g, iron 137.5 mg, manganese 54.6 mg, zinc 64.3 mg, copper 5.8 mg in 1 kg of the feed. Share of phytin phosphorus in total phosphorus content was 47.8 %. The differences as to the mineral composition between the feeds were small. Rapeseed cake as well as rapeseed meal were characterised by higher content of the majority of micro- and macroelements compared to soybean meal
