Effects of dietary inclusion natural zeolite on nutrient digestibilities and on performances of growing and finishing pigs were studied in 2 experiments. Experiment 1. Twelve 3-way crossbred [Duroc x (Large White x Landrace)] weighed 30 and 60 kg were fed diets containing 0, 1, 3 or 5 percents natural zeolite. The dietary inclusions of natural zeolite did not significantly affected dry matter digestibility, biological value (BV), net protein utilization (NPU) and rate of feed passage in the gastro-intestinal tract of animals. But the dietary inclusion of natural zeolite significantly decrease digestible energy (DE) and metabolizable energy (ME) of the diets. Experiment 2. Twenty four 3-way crossbred [Duroc x (Large White x Landrace)] weighed 20 kg were divided into 4 group of 6 animals each and containing an equal number of males and females. Each group of the animals was randomly fed an isonitrogenous containing 0, 1, 3 or 5 percents natural zeolite until 90 kg body weight. The pigs on diet containing 1 percent natural zeolite had better performances and better carcass characteristics than the other groups. In additional, female pigs tend to have a better response to zeolite in the diet than the castrated males.
