Efficiency management of dairy farm are obtained from accurate, complete and up-to-date records, which can operate and make accurate decision. This research is conducted to handle the dairy management information system of small dairy farms under Beef and Dairy Cattle Breeding Research and Development in the Tropic Project. The research also addresses design and implementation program called Dairy BASE which is presented in Thai language (Vthai.com, TIS code) on microcomputer. It is the initial study of system analysis and design with pseudocode and flow chart. This program is developed by FoxPro 2.5 for DOS which is the relational database management system. Dairy BASE is consisted of 8 database files which are managed and identified as follows: pedigree.dbf, repocav.dbf, growth.dbf, milkdata.dbf, lactatn.dbf, milkdata.dbf and agricutr.dbf. These database files can be processed and finally generated 5 main groups of reports as follows: dairy cattle report, agriculturist report, co-farm management report, operation report and summary report. The total report from the 5 main groups yield the total number of 30 reports. This program contains tools for operated data such as pull down menu, shortcut key and mouse. It is user friendly which save input time and can retrieve report as needed.
