Studies on the taxonomy of Oxycareninae (Heteroptera: Lygaeidae) and the morphology of male genitalia of Turkey

The male genitalia of Brachyplax palliatus Costa 1882, Leptodemus minutus Jakovlev 1876, Macroplax fasciata Herrich-Schaefer 1835 and Microplax limbatus Fieber 1864 were studied with the addition of the main body characters and places in which the specimens were collected. No detailed study of the male genitalia of these species appears in the available literature. So in the given work of the pygophore, paramere and phallus were described and illustrated for the first time. Besides, the discussion and additional records for Metapoplax origani Kolenati 1845, Microplax interriptus Fieber 1837, Oxycarenus hyallinipennis Costa 1847 and Oxycarenus longiceps Wagner 1954 (First records for Turkey) were also added
