Research, improvement and use of the biotechnical methods for the control of citrus flower moth, Prays citri Milliere (Lep.: Yponomeutidae) in the Mediterranean Region

In the study, the using possibility of pheromone traps (Z-7 tetracedenal) and insect growth regulator that Dimilin (Diflubenzuron) against the citrus flower moth, Prays citri Milliere (Lep.: Yponomeutidae) were conducted in Icel province in the Eastern Mediterranean Region in 1990-1996. Dimilin 40 and 60 g/hl dosages were shown not effective results against to P. citri. Therefore, Dimilin in these dosages couldn't be recommended. There were not found significantly correlated between the number of trapped males and the number of damaged flowers. Also, mass trapping did not find promissing method for P. citri control
