The experiment were carried out to investigate the effects of new spray techniques in environment in order to reduce side effects of pesticides in Ataturk Horticultural Central Research Institute in 1993-1995. Comparison of conventional pressured nozzle sprayer at field rate with controlled application sprayer at reduced doses investigating efficacy of pesticide to pests at reduced doses using controlled droplet application, spray deposition, operator exposure and ecotoxicological effection on benefigicial fauna. The results of the experiment indicated that the controlled efficacy to conventional spray methods, using dosa ges reduced to 1/1.67 of full field provides significant reduction in loss of pesticide onto the ground during spraying, and reduced drift out of the crop, risk posed by pesticide of operator exposure is reduced by controlled application methods above all CDA at reduced doses reduced the risk to beneficial in sects both within the crop during spraying and entering the crop after spraying. This may be implications for prevention of pest resurgence and pest resistance
