The main task of the invention was finding the method of feeding based on the introduction of the effective natural feed additive produced from accessible and cheap plant material, for example peat, with simultaneous saving of its biological activity and widening of the assortment. Hydrohumate is known to be mainly used in plant production as a plant growth regulator. The invention developed as a result of cooperation among the Dnipropetrovsk Agricultural Institute (Ukraine) and Institute of Peat (Belarus) allows for introducing the hydrohumate into a basic ration (a standard mixed fodder) for poultry in egg-laying period, in particular, of laying hens. The hydrohumate is added in the rate 1.5-1.7 ml per 1 kg of the mixed fodder by the 21-day cycles with the three-week intervals in the course of all the egg-laying period. Using the hydrohumate allows to improve raise the productivity of poultry, which is expressed in shortening the period of rearing and fastening the pubescent period of poultry, so raising the egg-laying characteristics in laying hens
