New data on seasonal characteristics of horizontal and vertical distribution and abundance, as seasonal daily - night vertical migrations of copepod Calanus helgolandicus have been given in this paper. In the Southern Adriatic (Montenegro, Yugoslavia), this species is presented in plankton throughout the year, with higher abundance from February to April and maximum during March. Investigations of vertical distribution and daily - nigh migrations have shown that Calanus helgolandicus preferd deeper and colder layers.
