Attempts for treatment of hypogalactia and agalactia in sows

From 426 sows 24.4% manifested the 4 forms of the MMA syndrome and 31.7% showed hypo- and agalactia and delayed uterine involution. Treatment of diseased sows have been performed with a following preparations: a/ Jungtier-suspension Veyx-forte, b/ Depotocin, c/ Depedin veyx. Three experimental groups of animals were treated according to various schedules. The single application of Jungtier-suspension Veyx-forte resulted in complete recovery in 71.4% of treated animals while in 28.6% only a partial recovery was ever, 100%. The average healing effect by application of different preparations in 57.1%.
