Characteristics of boron regime of soils from Northern Bulgaria

A literature review has been made, treating physiological and agrochemical significance of boron regarding agricultural crops. Boron nutrition has been characterized with one of the most typical boron-demanding crops-sugar beet during the period of most intensive growth and on the basis of soil and vegetative diagnostics. The study has shown that to stabilize and increase yields, it is necessary to include manure and other organic fertilizing technology for increasing the content of assimilable boron in soils.
